1. Activate the Widgetize Any HTML plugin first so we can add custom html or javascript widget that we found on internet. Go to your wp-admin (http://yourblogname.blog.binusian.org/wp-admin) look at the right option -> Plugins -> Installed -> find the Widgetize Any HTML -> activate

2. Then you need to go to your blog sidebar and the widgets. Go to Appereances -> Widgets .  You will see 2 option , Available Widgets (the current widget that are availble on your blog) and Current Widgets (the blog that was activate on your blog sidebar) there will be sidebar 1,2,3,4 or let /right or there were no sidebar depend on the themes that you choose.

3. To add widget you can just click the Add Button and it will show on the Current WIdgets and don’t forget to click the Save Changes button.  Okay but we wanted to add a custom widget in this tutorial i will try to add widget from http://www.widgetbox.com , i will install clock widget  you need to go the site http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/timedate-widget set the size or any other option on customize setting if you want to and after finish click get widget green button.

4. The next step would be putting the javascript of the clock widget to our blog. Go to your wp-admin -> Appearance -> Widgets -> click Widgetize Any HTML1 or Widgetize Any HTML2 etc  it’s up to you -> click add -> paste on the Html code-> click done -> click Save Changes

5. Now refresh yourblog ( clear the cache ctrl +F5) to see the changes on your sidebar.

6.  You can add Widgetize Any HTML widget by setting it on the Settings -> Widgetize Any HTML Options -> add the How many widgets? -> uipdate option.

We strongly suggest you to use Widgetize Any HTML  no more than 10 because it will increase the traffic and mysql process. We will remove the widget if the widget cause us traffic and mysql process become high

1.Before we go to wordpress you need to activate your XML-RPC option on your blog ( by default it was not checked). Go to your blog admin /wp-admin then go to Settings -> writings, check the XML-RPC option and do not gorget to save  changes .

2. Go to your microsoft word 2007 and click publish -> blog

3. You will get prompt with Register a Blog Account , just click Register Now

4.Then choose your blog provider and since blog.binusian.org engine was wordpress you must pick wordpress.

5.Then enter your blog.binusian url /xmlrpc.php

6.You will see this warning

7.After you click yes you will see this notification

8. You will see the Words Blog post like this

9. Just type your blog post and tittle and click publish after you finished

10.  You will get prompt with warning again just click yes to carry on

11. Wait for a little bit

12. Your word will have this notification when you succeded

13. You will see it on your blog

What is Weblog Client ?

A Weblog Client is software you run on your local machine (desktop) that lets you post to your blog via XML-RPC. In some cases, the Weblog Client can even manage your weblog entries. You might think of Weblog Clients as the equivalent of email clients such as Outlook Express, Thunderbird, and Eudora Mail. Okay that was the explanation of weblog client , now we will start how to use Post2blog . But before you use Post2blog Please read this

you need to ask the blog.binusian.org admin to turn on your Post2Blog access, just request for weblog client or Post2Blog access to admin through contact us page or YM on the blog.binusian frontpage and don’t forget to provide us your username and password so we can activate the service.

1. You need to activate the XML-RPC option on your blog ( by default it was not checked). Go to your blog admin /wp-admin then go to Settings -> writings, check the XML-RPC option and do not gorget to save  changes .

2. Download and install the Post2Blog software first. You can download it on http://download.cnet.com/Bytescout-Post2Blog/3000-12945_4-10492423.html

3. After you install it on your computer you can start the Post2Blog program (Bytescout Post2Blog)  there will be a welcome wizard step by step tutorial  for configuration

4. Go to File menu and click New item in Account sub-menu

5. The New Account Wizard will start. Select Existing blog and click Next

6. Now enter the full link to your Blog.binusian.org Blog.This link should open your blog. Then click Next to continue

7. Now you should enter the username you use to access your blog.binusian.org admin panel dashbooard. Then click Next to continue

8. The next page is used to setup how to upload images and files used in your post to the server. In most cases you can use uploading via blog option

9. Enter title for the new account. This title will be used to identify the account in the list of accounts. Click Next to finish the wizard

10.  Post editor window will appear and new account will be automatically selected in the list of available accounts

11. Now you can start the posting  from there, and after you finish you can publish it from there.

12. You will be prompt for username and password

13. Wait for the upload process

14. Now you can see the posting on your blog

Our local avatar plugin, it will upload your avatar picture to our local picture but we still hasn’t figure out how to show it on our blog.binusian.org Recent Posts page. We suggest you to use gravatar.

How to activate it ?
1. Login to your blog admin page( /wp-admin) and do not forget to enter your password

2. Go to Users -> Your avatar , upload your picture and crop it

Gravatar (an abbreviation for globally recognized avatar) is a service for providing globally-unique avatars which was created by Tom Werner.

On Gravatar, users can register an account based on their email address, and upload an avatar to be associated with the account. Gravatar plugins are available for popular blogging software; when the user posts a comment on such a blog that requires an e-mail address, the blogging software checks whether that e-mail address has an associated avatar at Gravatar. If so, the Gravatar is shown along with the comment.

How to activate it ?
1. Login to your blog admin page( /wp-admin) and do not forget to enter your password

2. Go to Users ->Author& Users -> Click your username

3. Click the click here to started and you will be redirected to http://en.gravatar.com/signup , enter your email address that register on your profiles and click signup

4. Check your email and click the activation link on your email. It will redirect your to gravatar pages once again to create username there, just enter your username and password there. Please makesure the username hasn’t been register yet( you can choose different username than the blog.binusian.org)

4. After you click signup you wil go tothis pages, click the Add one by clicking here link to add picture

5. You will have to upload your picture and you can choose to upload it from your local pc or from internet url

6. After you click crop and finish you need to pick the picture rating , i suggested you pick the G rating if you want your gravatar to show on any blog or web

7. After you click the rating you will go to the final pages. You can check the gravatar by clicking Check this Gravatar link to confirm it and wait for another 5- 10 minutes  for the changes to take affect

8. You can check your gravatar by going to Users ->Author& Users -> Click your username and you can see if your picture has changes or not there

how to activate it ?

2. Click Plugins tab -> installed -> scroll down checked the Author Avatars List -> Activate. You should have the plugin activated now.

3. Now you just add the avatar picture on your widget,go to Apprearance -> widget

4.Set the avatar size and settings and don’t forget to save changes. It should show on yourblog sidebar now.
